General Session Board Meeting

Sept. 6, 2005

Board Members Present: Brent Adamson, Bruce Reichert, Loyal Willis,

                                         Bookkeeper, Marcy Rowe

 

 

 

1)      Minutes/Financials: The Board unanimously approved the minutes of the August 2, 2005 meeting. Marcy Rowe reported a checking account balance of $6,338.09 and money market (reserve) account balance of $58,773.07

2)      Managers report: Jim White reported the following:

·        Wells: Jim and Loyal adjusted the timing on the wells/pumps.

·        Brent called Sylvan Adamson to scheduled deepening of one upper well (tentatively scheduled for Nov.)

·        Gate: Jim has contacted Tom Glass to make adjustments to the outgoing gate.

·        Road: Gardner Const. will remove/grind stumps after it rains.

·        Water: Jim identified main waterline valves that are in need of repair/maintenance.

3)      Building Plans:

  • Cliff Gribble presented modifications to his previously approved building plans. The Board reviewed and approved the modified plans.
  • Amy Davis provided plans for a deck and deck roof. The Board reviewed and approved the plans.

4)       New Business:

  • Water usage: The Board reaffirmed that the existing water regulations do not allow use of community water for livestock.

5)      BLM Project: Bruce reported that the BLM had selected a contractor to thin trees (approx. 9” diameter trees) on approx. 75 acres of BLM property. The project is scheduled for Sept. 2005. Approval for continuation of the project for trees larger than 9” diameter may take up to two years, due to the necessity for an Environmental Impact statement. The slash will be burned in late fall or next spring.

6)      Grant: Bruce indicated that a meeting is scheduled for Sept. 23, 2005 with the BLM and Id. Dept of Lands regarding the grant in which Duquette Pines is a participant/recipient. The project will likely begin in the spring of 2006, providing assistance to homeowners with timber management/fire prevention on their personal property. It is anticipated that an ‘in kind’ contribution by property owners will be required. Additional information will be shared with Duquette Pines property owners as it becomes available.
