General Session Board Meeting

October 3, 2006

Location: Basin Senior Center, Bear Run Road, Idaho City, Id

 

Board Members present: Brent Adamson, Theresa Mann, Elizabeth Nelson, Jon Long, Sr.

 

                           Present: Jim White, Manager

                                       

1)      Minutes: The minutes of the Sept. 5, 2006 were approved following a correction to the General Session minutes, #4, to reflect the need for Duquette residents to provide approximately 6 volunteers for consideration of joining with Idaho City Fire Dept.

2)      Financial report: Checking account balance of $6,170.56 – Reserve (money market) account balance of $100,762.80

3)      Building Plans: None

4)      Managers Report:

·        Jim White advised that the gate phone was no longer working. He replaced it with an inexpensive residential phone. He will check that phone to determine it’s longevity in use at the gate. If additional problems are noted, purchase of a more weather resistant phone may be necessary.

·        Jim reported that the Wildfire Mitigation/Grant crew began the hand work on Oct. 2, 2006 on 4 lots.

5)      Road Contract: Acceptance of Bids for the 2006-2008 Road Contract closed on September 12, 2006. The Board accepted the Bid from Gardner Co. and signed the Contract at the October meeting.

6)      New Business: The Board acknowledged that, due to an oversight, the Board position being filled by Alternate Elizabeth Nelson was not placed on the ballot at the July election as identified in the Bylaws. The error/issue was addressed with Charles Honsinger, Attorney for the Board. At his recommendation, that Board position will be placed on the ballot at the next regular election in July 2007 and, in the interim, the Board unanimously agreed to appoint Elizabeth Nelson to continue to fill that position as Alternate until the next election.

7)      Merger: The Board expressed appreciation for the Association members participating in the Special Meeting/Bylaws Change. Transition of Division 4 CCR reviews; building approvals etc. to the Board will begin immediately. Jon Long will draft a form to assist in compiling information regarding Division 4 lots with approved building plans.
