Duquette Pines Homeowners Association

General Session Board Meeting

March 4 , 2008

Location: Boise Basin Library

Board Members Present: Brent Adamson, Jon Long, Sr., Roy Doan, Kim Heintzman.

Present: Manager Jim White

It was suggested that we look into a credit card for the association. This card would allow for easier management of payment for things like our website and various supplies purchased for repairs.

Jim White reported that he fixed a water leak going to Loyal's house. He also mentioned that the roads are now clear enough to reinstall the front gates. Now would be the time to make sure all drivers remember that gate code if they do not have an opener. Openers are available by contacting Jim White.

The blog on the fire house has brought up some interesting questions and thoughts. The board encourages more input to help them make the right decision. This topic will be one of the main subjects discussed during our annual meeting in June.

It was also decided to put up a second stand pipe for fire department use at the corner of Meadow and Meadow by the front gate. This stand pipe will give the fire dept more options on fighting fires at that end of the subdivision. This pipe will be installed as soon as weather permits.

Also we will soon post on the website the correct adapters for the hydrants at all the homes with water service. This adapter along with a fire hose is required by all home owners.

The board approve building plans for Watsons and Randolphs.

The common area was given a lengthy discussion. This is an untapped resource for everyone in the subdivision. We are looking for input on how best to utilize this area. As a first step to improving the look and safety of this area we are removing the barbed wire fence that currently surrounds most of the acreage. This spring we will start replacing some areas with a two or three post fence. Due to cost this will be done in stages and by association members.
