Duquette Pines Homeowners Association

General Session Board Meeting

March 3 , 2009

Location: Boise Basin Library

Members present: Brent Adamson, Jon Long, Roy Doan, Kim Heintzman, and Jared Harrington, and Bookkeeper Michelle Savoie and Manager Jim White.

Building plans: Jason Rowe presented plans to the board proposing to move a metal storage container to a discreet area of his lot. The board had reservations about any metal container being placed in Duquette Pines, but wanted to see the proposed location before making a decision. A decision will be made after viewing Jason's plotted area.
Dave Shiner proposed building plans for a new home in Division three. Noting that these plans met all Division Three's CC&R's, the board approved these plans.

Jim White updated the board on the wells. Jim and Jon Long have been monitoring the running times for all four wells. The daily average for the wells has varied from 1.5 hours per day at well 3 to over 6 hours per day at well 5. It is obvious that if well 5 should stop producing, the subdivision would have a major water problem. It was decided that we should research how long an engineering study is valid. If such a study (which is required before any well can be dug for a subdivision water system) is valid for many years, we may go ahead and pay for the survey so we are ready to dig a new well when forced. Failure to do this first step could result in an insufficient water supply for many months.

The board had a long discussion on the state of the economy. While subdivision due payments have remained steady, the board did take these uncertain times into consideration for future expenditures. The few slow payers we do have will be approached about getting their dues up to date.
