Duquette Pines Homeowners Association

General Session Board Meeting

May 5 , 2009

Location: Boise Basin Library

Members present: Brent Adamson, Jon Long, Kim Heintzman, Roy Doan and Jim White

The board is sad to announce that Jared Harrington has submitted his resignation to the board due to a job change. Jared was a valuable asset to the board during his 9 months. He will be missed. As the next highest vote getter in last year's election, Bruce Reichert will assume Jared's position until this year's election results are posted. Members are encourage to submit names for the two positions up for election this summer. Nominees must be submitted before June 15th.

Jim White gave a brief managers update. Several of the culverts under private driveways are getting damaged during road grading.
These culverts were improperly installed by homeowners and/or developers and should be corrected. This is the responsibility of the homeowner. The new Meadow Loop sign will be corrected to read Meadow Drive.

Speaking of signs, it was decided by the board to hire someone this summer to repaint all the road signs in the subdivision. This person may also be hired to pull noxious weeds along the subdivision roads.

The annual meeting is scheduled for May 30th at 10 AM at the Idaho City Senior Center. Dust abatement, wells and the health of the subdivision will be the main topics.

Two companies have been contacted for quotes on dust abatement. Last year's application was considered a success and if the members agree at the annual meeting, we will contract to have a similar application done this year.

The gate was again a topic of discussion. The board is seriously looking at making the in-gate more substantial by erecting metal stanchions at the two ends of the board to make breakage harder. Also, a $100 fine will be imposed on all offenders (accidental or otherwise) to help pay for its maintenance.
